Marin Alsop is an internationally renowned conductor and Music Director Laureate of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. She is the subject of the EMMY nominated documentary The Conductor (2021). In honor of Harriet Tubman Day, Maestro Alsop will discuss commissioned works inspired by her story, how music has the power to change lives, and the importance of new music to the world.
